I love, love, love dressing up my little guys! It pretty much just melts my heart to see them in little button down shirts, ties and some cute dress pants or shorts. I love it!
So this Friday, for your little gentleman...a bow-tie!
These are pretty easy to make...just find some cute cotton material, cut a few pieces, a little felt, add a few stitches, and some velcro and there ya have it!
Each of the pieces of cotton you will cut out into rectangle pieces.
The biggest rectangle (I think mine was 8x4) will be the actual bow.
One rectangle was about 4x2 that one is for the middle part of the bow.
The last rectangle is long and skinny (about 2x10) is to wrap the tie around the neck.
Sew each of the pieces into a tube, right sides together. Place the felt into the big rectangle to help keep the shape.
Turn the tubes inside out (if you need help turning skinny tubes inside out click here)
Fold the big rectangle into thirds and manipulate it into a bow shape. Hand sew the edges together.
Wrap the little rectangle around the bow and hand sew those edges together too.
Last, loop the long skinny rectangle through the bow and size it to your little gentleman.
Add some Velcro and your done!
Love my little gentleman...all springy, Eastery and ready to go!
