We've had babies in our house for six years straight now. During those six years, among the smiles, belly laughs, and coos there have also been plenty of the doo doos!
Until recently, I have never quite been able to get those poo stains out when an explosion happens and the diaper doesn't quite contain it all. I've tried all sorts of detergents, stain removers, etc. It's been frustrating because I'm one who likes to use clothes as much as possible and hand it down to the next child or someone else, but who wants to wear something with the stain on it?!??
We recently were staying in a hotel when it happened. We had a diaper that didn't quite hold everything and poo leaked all over the onesie and the only pair of jammies I had packed for baby Violette! So quickly trying to problem solve like any Mommy knows how to do, I looked at my resources in the hotel to try to figure out how to clean this up and allow for her to have jammies the next night.
I tried the bar of soap that the hotel so graciously gives you...didn't help. So then I looked to our kids soap/shampoo we brought ourselves that was sitting conveniently next to the sink. It worked! I couldn't believe it! It took the stain away, all the way, without hardly scrubbing! I was pretty excited, because like I said, I've never had much success before!
Who would have thought that Suave kids shampoo would work?! When I went to tell my husband about it he said he got a little grease stain on his pants at dinner the night before and wondered if it would work for that too. He tried, it did!
I'm sure there are other stain remover tricks that work...but in a hotel with limited resources, this trick was great and made my day! :)
